Finally, I've managed my long dream of not having to participate in my school's road run. This, unfortunately, is because I'm a bit sick, and thus have been allowed to give it a miss.
But in my defense, I came to school, which is more than what SOMEONE who had an MC though she isn't that sick did, and another SOMEONE who simply woke up at 10:44 and can always get her parents to write an MC for her did.
Very surprisingly, Aqua won the House Cup for this road run. It was really unexpected, considering how few of our members got in the top 10 for each event. But I suppose the best one were the Aqua J2 guys who got 1st and 3rd for their event.
I honestly thought Solaris was going to win, considering how many of their people were in the top 10, and since Lignum got 2nd, and I'm positive they had the most top runners. But I think in the end, it was all the one-pointers who made it possible.
I got to go with some choir people for lunch today: CJ, YJ, LC, Caleb, Elvin, Clarissa, Stefanie, Tiffany, Eunice Yeap, Sonia, and Sheena joined us a bit later, followed by Ann, and then Boss and YT.
And it was déjà vu all over, because we ate at Cafe Cartel @ Plaza Singapura. And just like CNY, we went up to the 2nd level looking at Japanese food before deciding on the above. We even sat at the same place, just that there was twice the number of people.
I was a bit cranky because of my throat hurting, and because I didn't get the choice of food I wanted. Congrats to Sonia and Clarissa for being the champion rib eaters! They beat CJ and YJ!
Even though it wasn't as hilariously entertaining a lunch as CNY, I still had a lot of fun with them - and I think it's heartening to see choristers enthusiastic about having meals with other choir people.
After that I went to the doctor by myself, and then I stupidly forgot to ask for an MC until the counter-lady mentioned it. I think she thought I didn't go to school today. Hmph.
Maybe I shouldn't have eaten the durian?
Nah.
