I forgot to post yesterday because I was doing homework...
My pastor gave an interesting sermon yesterday, and he said that Paul suggests that "keeping our mind on things above" doesn't just refer to thinking about heaven and spiritual things, but that we should treat others as if we are in heaven, with the love of Christ, and if we are able to live such lives when we are in the world, then we can have heaven on earth.
And he gave a 3-step path for forgiveness: Treat every offense as if it's only the first time the person has wronged you, treat the person as you would any other (not ignoring or avoiding), and love the person. NOT EASY AT ALL.
Right now I kind of miss the kids from the CIP camp... I even miss the camp in general, which is strange, considering how I normally dislike camps. This is due to the lack of nice bathing facilities and poor sleeping conditions. This is why I prefer trips such as my Italy / Korea ones, where the facilities are excellent, and in Korea there was even a laundry service! Haha.
I am currently reading math jokes. It's true - I am odd! But some are really funny, even if you don't think so. Hmph.
Q: What will a logician choose: a half of an egg or eternal bliss in the afterlife?
A: A half of an egg! Because nothing is better than eternal bliss in the afterlife, and a half of an egg is better than nothing.
Teacher:"The problems for the exam will be similar to the discussed in the class. Of course, the numbers will be different. But not all of them. Pi will still be 3.14159... "
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary math, and those who don't.
Q: Why did the chicken cross the Möbius strip?
A: To get to the other ... er, um ...
