Tonight my sister and her husband are going to New Zealand in order to migrate there. I'm sure there's a whole host of reasons why they want to leave, be it the weather, the population density, the pace of life or the ERP. Labels: church, family, school
Naturally no one wants them to leave, but I suppose even we aren't enough reason for them to stay. Hmph.
They took us out for lunch on Friday after the Teachers' Day Celebrations in our respective schools, since they had a voucher for Sushi Tei to be used up. Apparently they've been on the receiving end of countless buffets, all with sashimi. I swear, it can't be fair at all .
And last night we had a scrumptious overloaded dinner at Westlake, complete with kung ba bao, pohpia, beef, fried chicken, sea cucumber, two types of tofu, and nai bai. It's a wonder we were able to stand up after being so stuffed!
Yesterday after service Yan and I went to the parsonage to teach Papa's upper Primary Sunday school class. There were only three of the boys, plus two of the lower Primary girls whose teacher wasn't there.
Hence we took them all for the lesson, which was quite nice, except for some purposefully ridiculous answers, and the fact that most of them take forever to flip to the correct page in their Bibles. E.g. They were supposed to turn to Ephesians, and Jared slowly turns, saying to himself, "...Jeremiah...page 1407..."
I hope Aunty Jee Nee liked the Teachers' Day card we gave her. It's a pity that not everyone was there to write a message on it, so in the end it had messages from me, Ying Xuan, Daryl, Aveil, Nicole, Michelle Foo, Yihui, Nicolette and Michelle Ng. Oh well. My incomplete class has the number of messages from my sisters' classes combined.
I'm sure Mrs J from school enjoyed her bouquet that our GP class got for her as well on Friday. And about 21/23 of the class signed the card. Jolly successful. And I hope Ms Feng liked the cup. Reminds me of photosynthesis.
Anyway, we've got to go to the airport in an hour or so, I think. I can't believe that I wasn't aware of the existence of Terminal 3.
