I just came back from our class outing, and my legs are aching! Haha. Labels: school
This morning I went to the doctor again, because my eye was still a bit swollen, so I needed to get the cream for it. I also managed to get my results from the Hepatitis A and B test from the blood the doctor took from me on Monday.
So when I left the house, I chionged to the bus stop to catch the 154, which terminated at Eunos Interchange, from which I walked to Sims Avenue to take 13 to Marine Crescent. From that point I was quite unsure how to go, ready to whip out my map, when I heard Xiaowen and Kaixin calling me, as they just arrived! How timely!
Using the map Terence provided, we found the underpass and made it to the Macs at about 2:35, to find that no one was there yet! And we thought we'd be late. Hmph. We were soon joined by Jessica, Linh and Sherrie, and afterwards by Ben, Jiayi and Justin.
The nine of us spent forever deciding whether to rollerblade or cycle, since it was going to rain, and Ben was talking about his cumulo-nimbus clouds and sea breeze. Since Kaixin doesn't know how to cycle, she went back to the Macs, and the eight of us cycled, with Xiaowen and I on the double bike!
It's harder than it looks, and it's mostly the front person in control of the direction. I didn't know the pedals are connected so that if one person stops, both people stop. We initially thought that since two people were pedaling, it would go as fast with less individual effort. But it turns out that since it's almost twice the weight, it's harder.
After about an hour of cycling to one end and then nearer to the other end, we went back for me (who is lousy and couldn't take it any more) to swap with Melody, but then it started pouring, so we went back to Macs. We were joined by Rayshio afterward.
Then Sherrie, Jess, Mel and Linh decided to go to the Expo for the John Little sale, while Justin went off for his hockey chalet, so the remaining six of us set off for Kallang. Most of the bus trip was spent talking about horror/thriller movies, which is kind of weird, now that I think about it.
Ben and Jiayi went to the squash centre, and the four of us went to the Kallang Leisure Park, looking around the shops. It has one of those Korean Marts! Kaixin also looked at the winter clothing, and I just remembered I was supposed to ask my parents whether I could lend her a jacket. Oops.
We were joined by Xin Yuan (still in school uniform), Wu Si and Rongrong (who bought a doughnut), and Terence. We loitered around in the arcade, joined by Daniel (!), waiting for the Expo people who thought dinner was at 7:45 instead of the stipulated 6:45, so it was too late to go home with my parents.
We ate at KFC (can't believe it), and Rachel joined us after getting lost somewhere in Bedok. Jess wasn't with us because she had to go to the airport, I think. Dinner was fun, including a lot of talk about Korean and Japanese stuff. More playing around the arcade, before we went home. Thank goodness Rayshio seems to know the way everywhere, so the scholars and I reached Dhoby Ghaut and took the 171 home.
We took 16 to Dhoby Ghaut, and we actually ran like crazy for the bus. Thank goodness Terence is fast. We were talking a bit about our future, and I suggested that we ought to have class reunions like five years, 10 years, 30 years later or so. I even have the perfect date: fifth of May. Guess why.
This is the last time we'll be seeing Wu Si and Rongrong before our results next year, since they're going home on Friday. It feels a bit sad that not everyone was able to come today. I still miss our traditional going to someone's house and eating dinner and stuff.
I wonder where we'll all be 15 years from now. We'll be 33 by then. Possibly people married, with a kid, stable job, whether interesting or boring. I hope we'll still be able to meet up some day in the future, though. How lovely!
Thanks to all the blogs i referred to (countless) for html code help :) (esp. cyn' and sixseven)
